Any idea on the different weights of all of those?

I voted 993 Cup because I like the look. However to go outside the choices, I'd throw in behind some Fikses.

Pete -

I like the sport classics too. Is that the front wheel in the pic or the rear wheel? In other words, does the rear wheel have any lip to it? Perhaps you want a little lip to differentiate tem from the 90s.

These types of wheels are a cinch(sp?) to clean. Ive got a couple tools from Griots that'd make quick work of those puppies.

I like the 993 cups, and they're not that hard to find used -- recently bought a pristine set on eBay for $600 with so-so rubber (the bugger spent $200 to ship, though...).

But, I really hate twists b/c all four twist the same way and it really bothers me. The driver side would twist from front-to-back and the passenger side would twist from back-to-front. Yuck!

How about these in the classifieds for $1699 and even includes new rubber(if they're still available).

(BRAND NEW FACTORY WHEELS) Set of (4) 18" Factory OEM (gloss) HIGH POLISH Porsche Turbo Twist wheels with Center caps

Front wheels are 18"x8 with 225-40-ZR18 and 18"x10 with 285-30ZR18 rears.

Nope, don't know the seller. Just thought that is a fair deal for new Porsche wheels and new tires.

OR...I see in another thread TonyG has set, actually several sets, of 993 wheels for sale.

I don't sell these for a living, nor is it my business... but I've got 3 sets one set with each type of tires.

The price is $750 + shipping.
The tires are used, but there's enough meat on each set for at least 10k miles of hard driving left (except the Pilot Sport set... which the rears probably have only about 2k - 3k of mileage
Nope, I don't get a comission.

Those aren't my wheels, I was just borrowing them.

Mike B., those are nice, but I don't like the real shiny chrome look. I'm not buying until June so those 993's will be gone by then. Maybe.

I personal love the classic sport's

but i look at your Avatar (944Pete) and i think that your set up of color, and rims is one of the finest examples i have seen of a 944.
Those rims are sweet, are they 3 piece? (what kind are they)

I'd be kinda partial to the Sport Classics. Here's what they look like. I think I'm the only one with some on his 944!! (you don't want them, they are hard to clean)

Roral, the car in the avatar is mine but the wheels aren't. Those are ATP Riva wheels. They belong to Perry 951. I have the stock 16" Design 90's on my car.
The poll told me pretty much what I thought it would. The 993 cups are my first choice and I'll be on the lookout for a set of these on the used market. If I don't find them I'll go with the Sport Classics.

Thanks folks!

A wheel that I seem to be the only one to like is the split spoke from the Boxster.

I've always thought this about twist wheels. I prefer symmetrical wheels. Still can't believe they put those funky twists on the fabulous 993TT.
