Ok, so I took out the whole air box and checked the alternator, looks good to me, and after I put it back in it ran like a champ, no more squealing, maybe something on the airbox wasn't tight enough, even though I don't think that air would make souch a loud squeal, it stopped.
O yea, anyone know how to adjust valves, I got a slight valve tap.

Hydraulic lifters = valves not adjustable. But on the brighter side I have heard that the fuel injectors can make quite a loud ticking noise so that could be what you hear

Oh, then its probably the injectors, I can't hear it unless the hood is open either.
Oh yea, do your cars seem louder than most. Or is it just me, it seems loud to me when it idles at 1200, anything lower or higher it's not too bad. Maybe it's just cause its an older car and I'm not used to it.
I didn't do the brakes yet, but just in case, what do you think a master cylinder will run.

Yea, I was looking for cracks or something cause it seemed a little loud. I'll just replace the gasket cause after 100k miles and probably never replaced (not in my records) it's gonna need it.
Those damn hatch struts rattle too, any suggestions, I tightened them but it still has the rattle.
I decided to take it through the mountains with the new brakes and even with the bad alignment, It ran real strong and handled well. It actually was my first time really driving it, I took it around the block a couple times to drift, but my road is snow covered so I never could grab traction. Anyway, i was very impressed with it's performance, since I was driving hondas and saturns before, the torque impresses me. I'm hooked on the 944.
