Tell me you took that car of yours out last night, I had soooo much fun. couldn't believe how far out of shape I could get it, reminded me of my old days as a private on the RAC rally, only in slow motion, I think I may need a new lower front part to my bumper as I was using it as a plough loads of fun though, I may be needing to use my bench real soon. One thing to note, I pretty much used 2 machines in my old workshop, (laithe and Mill) but the thing I missed the most was my trusty drill press, I notice that no seems to have one in there garage. The mandatory vice is there but not a lot else, on the subject of tools, eswings new hammer (square striking face and standard claw with weird handle) is superb if you get the longer one, the short one has the same head but feels like a club hammer in comparison. Also for Canadians, Canadian Tire (The worst shop in the world) has press drills for $59 CAD i brought mine 4 months ago and it seems good enough for most jobs, also Rona have the new dewalt 18v set + radio charger for $659 CAD, I brought this set in the UK for £449 (approx $900 CAD) not sure of the usual price but it seems a good deal in my book. I'm off to see if I can persuade my landlord to lend me his spare garage as I have a plan to import a 4x4 Sierra Cosworth and bung the running gear under a Merkur shell.

I made one about the size of Granite 944s a few years ago with a corner bracket/brace kit from Home Depot, day project using circular saw and a drill to drive the screws. 3/4 in. plywood top made it sturdy enough to beat the hell out of anything on.
The good part about making it is that it's exactly the size you want.
