Default What's this plug?

I recently bought an '88 944 and have been going through it getting everything working. One issue is no windshield wipers. The switch lever bezel on the steering column is a little wonky and has grounding issues I suspect as the turn signals are intermittent also. However, I was poking around in the area of the wiper motor and discovered that the main plug from the wiper motor was unplugged (the big black one with 8 or so posts.) I plugged it back in, still no wipers. Then I noticed the plug below loose in the area around the fuse box. I looked and can't find where it plugs in. Can anyone help? BTW, yes, I checked the fuses first.

I think that's the one that goes to the hood for the heated washer nozzles and the engine compartment light.

Given the length and the way it's routed, that makes sense. I don't have those anymore... Damn, I was hoping it was the magic fix for the wipers! Thanks!
