Mine might be on the market soon...but it does have a few problems...vaccuum leak (hoping to be fixed soon) exhaust leak (hoping to be fixed soon) and a small problem with the clutch. If I can get all these done before march...I am not going to sell it...if not...it may go on the market...would only ask my paying price...$3500....so I can pay of the car at least..heh....

Ok, well define "small problem with the clutch"... where is the exhaust leak exactly?? As it's sounding now though, I'm not sure I could put down more than 3 for a 951 with those problems! Are there any tears or cracks in the seats, dash or any part of the interior?? Are there any leaks? What's the mileage on the water pump, balace shaft belt, timing belt and clutch? Do you have records for it?

Although the repairs necessary to get your car in good working condition might be in upwards of $1500... I might still consider it as is for 3k... we'll talk

Small problem with the clutch...pedal goes to the floor, doesn't come back up...problem with the cylander...prolly about 60 bucks to fix (with parts from pelican)...tears and cracks, seat one big tear on the drivers seat, dash cracks...only one small coolant leak, will fix when I get the thermoswitch in...water pump, balance shaft, and timing are all good...replaced last year...I have full records since I bought it...clutch is original, car has 136k on it...the clutch, besides the pedal problem...is in great shape to have that many miles on it...

if i was to buy it, i would be driving it home... would you be willing to fix that before hand? Do you think it could take a road trip back up to the DC area?... and would you be willing to take 3k for it, cash? If so would you hold it for me until the first week of march?

Kevin,

I know of an '87 951 with about 130k. It's an Autothority Stage II car and was maintained by Clark's Garage up until the owner moved from New Jersey to Maryland a few months ago. I was considering it until I decided I did not want a turbo. PM me and I'll put you in touch with the seller.

Hey Matt, thanks for the tip, I PM'd ya... could you tell me what Autothority Stage II is? I'm familiar with their Stage II chips, but are you refering to something else? I'm VERY interested to hear about this car

Hey Bloodraven, we still need to talk to, give me an email sometime and we'll discuss your car.

Sent ya a PM back.

This is what Autothority has to say about Stage II, maybe one of the 951 guys can shed some more light on it:

Stage 2- DME and KLR + Boost 1 Bolt
Our AutoThority chip upgrade provides your car with a 48 horsepower gain at the wheels and improved torque to go along with it. The low-end torque and throttle response are improved and the driveability is smooth throughout the entire power band. The performance can be felt right away as your car will speed through the revs quickly before reaching the raised rev limiter. The rev limiter has been raised 300 RPM in each gear and there is no top speed limiter. Our AutoThority Performance Chip is a simple upgrade and comes with full instructions on how to install it in your car.

lmao.....yeah right 48 hp at the wheel's...lol. Autothority cracks me up. Oh was there ever a top speed limiter on 951's??? I don't think so but, I could be wrong. Most chip upgrades get you 20 to 30 rwhp gain. On the latter car's maybe more. Someone here can chime in on this I am sure. The only chip's I have hered of getting you 50rwhp was danno's and his chip's are custom burned for your personal car...so they are going to be alot better than just your general run of the mill chip burned that everyone get's. I see alot of these manufactor's saying thier chip's have netted 50 60 someitmes even 70 rwhp on a car??? I am always like and what boost pressure is the car being raised too??? lol. And even worse autothority has a bad rep for running rich in the midrange.Sorry about the off topic rant but, sometimes these chip manufactor's get on my nerves.
