944S Vs 944 Tensioner Roller Help
Because I only have the tensioner roller that came off of my car I need the difference in width between these two rollers.
Pelican lists the 944S, S2 and 968 part as:944 105 631 10
The 924S, 944 NA and Turbo is:944 105 631 04
I have learned from another thread that the 944S is 3mm wider. I need to know the width of BOTH parts so that I can determine what part was removed from my car.
Your help is appreciated.

Jonny:
According to the shop manual 15-30, the width of the cam belt toothed tensioner is 31.5mm for the 16 valve versus 26mm for the 8 valve. This is from outside face to outside face.
Hope this helps.

Keith,
Thanks, I was given the wrong parts at the shop. The parts I had did not come off of my car. I now have the tensioner roller that came off my car and while it appears new the bearing has completely failed. Looks like a new part failure. You can see grease coming out of the bearing in large quantities. Anyway thanks for your answer.
