1986 951/1-13-2003 (a year old to me this month!)/113k (see a pattern here with my lucky number?)/$9100 with all mods listed in my profile, plus the FRH wheels, virtually a brand new 89 interior except a little bit of wear showing on the driver's seat and a bit on the shift boot

88 924S sport edition / 2003 / 63k / $3800

i can't believe how many of these cars are purchased with such high mileage. shows how well a properly maintained 2.5 can hold up.

83 944 / May 03 / 215K / $2,000
Bought the car the day before my highschool graduation from my HS Councellor. He now drives a harley and drives by where I work to reminisce.

215,000 miles has to be close to some kind of record, but it runs perfectly... after a broken timing belt job (add another $2k).

Sami, does that include Finnish import duties? I paid another $3K in VAT and registration fees for the 951, but the Swiss seller's price was $17,000.

1987 944NA April 2002, 59,100 miles, $5500

Had been stored undriven for 6 years. Needed all belts, hoses, filters etc. That cost $1800 right out of thebox. Total investment to date about $9500 - A/C, clutch, motor mounts, tires, etc.

85.5 944 NA / Sept 2003 / 130000 / $3000

I know the original owner that bought it in Germany and the second owner who I bought it from. I have all maintenance records, including the ones in German. It also came with the full maintenance manual set. It's not perfect but I love it. I'm very glad I bought it.

In a way yes, I didn't pay for them myself as both cars were both locally, but the taxes keep the prices up... at the moment the import duty is calculated from the value of a similar vehicle in Finland, tax percent depending on model year and such... for a good 951, the average going price now would be ~15k€, and the import duty would be about 32% from that -> ~5k€. ie., buy a good 951 in Germany for 7-8K€, and it'll end up costing 13k€ once registered here, plus all the trouble of finding, buying and importing it

Ohh yeah a guy here in town has a 90 944 na less than 40k original absolutely perfect, saratoga top, extra set of PD's. He's owned it 3 years and has drove it twice, still changes the oil every three months (guy's kinda weird) thats he's wanting to sell.
