Default Quick help needed - instument cluster out - what's list of things to do??

I have managed to pull the instrument cluster - what's the list of things to check?

I know of...

Odo reset solenoid (how checked?? Mine has been intermittent)
Illum reconditioning/bulb cleaning (done)
Instument ground cleaning? (How/where?)

Anything else while I have everything apart?

Thanks for speedy help - have to put the car together tomrrow for work on Monday!

Just wondering, did you have to pull the wheel to get the cluster out? I need to do this soon.

Hmm, you can't really clean the grounds, as they are at the other end of some of those wires =)
What you can do, is take a q-tip with some rubbing alcohol and clean where the wires attach, both sides, as well as cleaning the connectors.

If your reset solenoid has been intermittent, try operating the reset by hand, see if it is sticky or jams anywhere, if not, the problem could lie in the switch. The solenoid operates on 12V, so I suppose you could test it while it is out of the car, but I do not know the polarity.
