Default Source for alarm lock mounting nut

My 944 has had a hole behind the driver handle since I've owned it. Didn't bother me much, but enough people commented about it that I removed the trim panel on the driver side of the back seat, then slapped myself in the face and removed the vent at the back of the door opening instead. Reached in and what do you know, there's the alarm key cylinder, still wired and everything. So instead of fiberglassing and painting the hole, I'll just reinstall the cylinder. Found a trim cover for the nut on Ian's site, but can't find the nut itself for purchase. Does anyone have a spare? Is it a common size I could pick up at a hardware store? Also, do I just tighten right to the body panel? Maybe I can grease the back face to avoid further paint damage? Thanks,
-Mike

Mike, download the parts diagram from Porsche's web site. It shows the components of the alarm system in illustration 909-00 and it should answer your questions. Good luck!

From what I've read isn't the "rosette" outer trim piece the actual nut?
