Haven't decided to do anything yet. But, IMHO, the square lights on my cab is the ONLY design feature I don't like. There's not another straight line or box effect anywhere except the taillight assy.

 

Wait! Doesn't your car have boxed fenders? Woa.

 

Maybe he wants the lights to be more like the non-rectangular license plate that sits between them in that non-rectangular space. You know, right above the non-boxy bumper and below the non-rectangular strip of metal at the base of the downright round trunklid!

 

I wouldn't call them boxy. They flare out on the sides.

 

OOOh I want clear lenses for my 951 to 83NA conversion! Keep us posted.

Geez, it seems like everybody complains about the tails on the 944. Now, I agree with y'all that Altezza lights, Skyline lights, and most other rice stuff makes me gag. Well, actually, it makes me barf. But, I don't see the harm in someone asking if there are alternatives. He never said Altezzas or such.

Hell, some people spray their tails all red. That's just as bad IMHO. Pink back-up lights?

I frekin' love the 944 taillights, they look alright normally, but when lit the round bulbs look awesome. Put a brick on the brake and go look if you havent seen them lit.

 

Hey what's wrong with stock skyline lights? I think they look awesome. Altezza's on the other hand UGLY. I really like the stock 944 lights though.

 

I always wanted to fit S5 (1989-1991) second generation RX-7 tails in my 951. With a little bit of trimming and grinding, they should fit nicely as the contour from the rear 1/4 panels to the back of the car is about the same and the rx-7 lights are slightly taller and wider, making it a possibility. Here's a picture:

 

True, no one mentioned Altezza's or Skyline lights, but geez, can't we just leave well enough alone? Sure, the 944 taillight give the car a dated look, but the whole stinkin' car has that dated look!

If you want Altezza lights, get an Altezza!



Don't get me going now: if there's one thing I hate more than Street racing, is Altezza lights!
