Default 944 Rear Wiper Motor Gear

Hi everyone,
My rear wiper does not return to rest position. Starts fine, passes the return point and stops about one-third of the travel to rest position. The motor stops when the arm is moved to the rest position. I think the issue is the thirty year old plastic gear. Must be missing a tooth or two. Are parts available to repair the motor? If parts aren’t available is the motor available?

Thanks in advance.
Ed

This may very well be a case of simply giving the motor a good cleaning inside. Such a problem exists with the front wiper motors as well.
