yea, i have an 81 924 ill sell for a grand, but ill be honest, itll take more than that extra couple thousand to get it anywhere close to my 944

about the clutch comment, this is maybe the most horrific thing youve heard as far as treating your car with respect. but i bought the car w/ the broken rubber center, and the dealer (not a porsche dealer mind you) didnt even realize it was a problem, it was rough, but my mechanic tells me there is a safety mechanism that enables the clutch to still engage, he told me it would have lasted another 30k after i replaced it, and it was garbage!! vertex auto, im sure it was under 5 bills to replace, and throw out bearing and other stuff, i dont remember what all

Ach my Porsche dreams are starting to get smothered....

Maybe I'll go for a Pontiac Fiero.....(sniff)
