The gift of sight! (Iceshark lights!)
Look what I got for Christmas! I had been telling my dad I was gonna get these for a while now, but I didn't think there was a run being done on them, so I thought I'd have to wait a while. I don't have them wired up yet, but I hope to do that sometime this week! (One of a few projects that need to be done) Finally I'll be able to see at night in the 944!
I can't speak of performance until I get thme installed, but the quality of this kit seems to be top notch! Far superior to any of the stock wiring that I've seen in the car.

What I think is more difficult is seeing while driving at night when cars are behind you. On the highway, at night, with 944s/951s it seems as if every single car has their high beams on, with our cars being two feet off the ground. Not sure if tinting the rear hatch window (which I've heard is extremely difficult) solves the problem or not.

haha hell ya the rear hatch is hard to tint....i bought my 944 with tinting already on it...anyway i decided i wanted limou tint...and since its illegal to have your entire car limou tinted i found a private guy who does it as a separate part of car toys...anyway he wasn't acquainted with this type of hatch...so he quoted me ahead of time 240 bux for removal of tint as well as installing the new limou metallized tint...it took him i think 3 hours to realize he was in over his head concerning the back hatch...as he soon learned, it's impossible to tint the back hatch with one piece of tint...you MUST use two pieces of tint to do the back, especially if it's metallized tint. he said something about double concave or something like that referring to the shape of the hatch. anyway, i lucked out because he kept his first quote of 240 even though he spent a lot more labor installing. he took a whole half a day to do just the rear hatch. o well i went shopping in the mean time and got some cool stuff =)

I've said it before, and I will say it again, the Full Boat Kit was the best purchase I made when I restored my 951. There is nothing to compare this kit to, it is in class of it's own.
Get one while you can, who knows how long Dan will make them.

Just out of curiosity, has anybody installed this on an S2 before? The reason I ask is that the instructions say to remove all the intake plumbing/airbox, but on the S2 it's all up front (where the 951 intercooler goes) and I don't think it's really going to be in the way up there. I guess I'll just have to see how much room I have when I get in there and figure out what I need to remove to get it done.

1) Good luck passing inspection as it is a part of the inspection process in Texas, I have failed more than one car for it.
2) The rear hatch can be done by any competant shop with one piece. Though it is not local, Sun and Tint in Austin does exceptional work and they charge right around 180 dollars which includes 3M lifetime films. Some shops will use two pieces as it is far easier to get the contour correct.
