Just curious if anyone is familair with problems on the 944S Speedometer. Right now mine is not working at all and has never worked since I purchased the car. I realize the reference and speed sensor are combined on this car, just wondering if there is a way to test it. Also, if the problem isn't the sensor, what other items should I look for to help diagnose this problem? Thanks for any help in advance!

 

Speedo signal comes off of a pulse sender on the left rear axle at the transmission side cover. This in turn drives a stepper motor in the speedo unit. The gear the stepper motor drives breaks and no speedo. Think Rennbay sells them.
