Default OK, I guess I should officially announce...

My newest addition to the ever growing family P-car collection, lol. I only own two myself, my dad has two and mom one. I just got my 3rd 944, yeah I only have two, the first was totaled. I still have the title, does that count??? OK, here's the details, and no I don't have any pics yet. 86 944 NA 299K miles, yeah, that's right, I got ya Wade! One owner untill the dealer then me. All work done at the dealer, even a Porsche battery! New trans, brakes at all corners, clutch, belts, pump rollers, uhh, some more stuff. They had all the records, I didn't bother to get them yet. It needed a console lid, done. A steering wheel lock cylinder and housing, done. And a right rear wheel bearing, still need to do it. The PO is 84 and traded it in for a Boxster, lol. I hear that he already misses the 944, lol. Actually, when I worked at that dealer, I helped do the tranny. It runs perfect, I truely mean that too. Good struts all the way, tight all the way around, no squeeks, no wrecks. Showing her age a little, but definately not feeling it at all! This is a non-sunroof car!

Oh yeah, 1600, but they ate the title fees, actually like 1500. Drove it home too! I hope to drive the "954" up to the fest. Not sure how it will work tho, still legally bound with the interlock. That's not going on the toy car! I hope to go back in a few months and contest it in court. I don't drink for one, thus, no failures with the interlock. Now I have proof that I don't drink! Wish me luck on that. If not, I may have a driver get the car up there for me. I'd love the 944Fest to be the official debut!

Well, it's a device you have to blow into every time you start your car to keep you from drinking and driving. I was court mandated to have this after my 2nd DUI. I don't drink anymore. I feel it's pretty much usless now, I understand their reasoning tho. They patch it into the factory wiring harness to keep the car from starting if you fail the breatalizer test. They are not hacking any wires on my toy, I really hate to do it to the daily 944, but I choose to drive the cars I love. It's a compromise. At worst I'll have this POS for 2 more years, at best I can get the restrition removed( if I'm lucky) in a few months. I have no other proof of me not drinking except my word. Now I have the interlock that records what I blow every time. Won't find any alcohol! lol, last month it recorded 255 starts, you don't thinkabout it, but that's alot!

Andy, depending on whats happening with the nine dozen (after all i will be zig-zagging her cross country again, north to south, north to south west, and then all the way out to cali again), if you need a driver, let me know. if not.. its cool, but i thought i might throw it on the table, since the rest of the 944 owners will be driving theirs. (although, i wouldnt trust me with it on the driving tour.. never driven a car with boost and a high speed driving tour wouldnt be the place to discover what boost is).

I see. It's good that you choose not to drink anymore. My uncle was killed by a drunk driver.

Nice project btw...

Dont drive it Harry! It's a lot different than mine.
You'll get hooked and have to have a nine five one... and then the 912 would become a garage queen..

Andy, we need a pic of your family fleet all lined up together. A shot like that would have made nice Christmas cards.

299K ? Yep, you've got me. Mine has become somewhat of a garage queen recently, so not likely to catch up soon. What do you call a collection like yours? A "flock"? A "litter"? A "herd" of 944's?

I'm sure I can stay ahead of you Wade, lol. I'll be running 1000 plus miles a month with her. We have a few line-up pics, none with all of them tho. I'm waiting for the weather to turn better for some pics! Harry, I think I'll have Tammy run it up for me, you got second dibbs tho. Nothing against you tho, I think she's going again, well, I hope I can talk her into a 944 before then. She want's one, but she wants to get a turbo right off the bat, lol. She's also wanting to sell her Civic too, hmm. I'm not sure what to call it yet. When I became addicted to P-cars, I didn't expect the whole family to fall in with me, lol.
