i take my car to drive in movies durring the summer. i sit with the radio on with subwoofers and everything for over 4 hours sometimes. there might be some slight chuging but it always starts right up.... I have a brand new alterntor also.

If you just live a 2 minute drive from work, bundle up and walk! It'll do both you and the car some good. I know you're in Nova Scotia but it won't take that long. Then you can brag about it tp your kids. Most placws should be able to quickly check the charging system and the battery probably for free. The battert is suspect but the alternator, the voltage regulator, or the alternator belt could also be at fault. You need to have at least 1 good weekly drive.
