Default Wanted to buy - 944 Roof Rack

I am having difficulty outitting my Thule roof rack with the correct fit kit (034).

Apparently SunCoast motorsports recently sold Porsche 944 OEM racks for cheap on eBay. If you have one and want to sell it I am interested.

Jonnybgood......I've done alot of research on this...you did not mentioned your purpose for using the roof racks...carrying bikes or skis?...I will assume bikes....here goes:

(1) PORSCHE 944 OEM ROOF RACK

Suncoast no longer sells them, so you will have to hope to get them on Ebay or from the dealership:

I have not seen any come up in the last few months. You will still have the get the bike or ski attachment. They use 928 parts numbers. Sunset Porsche (local dealership here in Portland) says Porsche North America has run out of stock on them. You can get them at 928 Specialist based in South Carolina (just ordered one a couple of months ago):

(2) REAR HITCH SET-UP:

Here's is a quote for a hitch system from a rack shop in Portland:

* 1985 944 hitch: $165
* Installation of hitch behind bumper: $50
* Yakima 2-person bike rack (1-1/4" hitch): $129 - $199 (various depending on whether you need locking features, straps, etc).

Or do something like this:

(3) LICENSE PLATE MOUNTS

Get a license plate mount...but not sure if these come with the ability to lock the bike securely to the rack:

Good luck finding something that will work for ya!

ACG, I don't want the hitch mount. I do want to do both skis and bikes, that is why I originally went with Thule. The prices at 928 Specialist is too high.

Thanks for all your input.
