Whoa.

My 944 has the stock stereo and my home system is at most 35 watts per channel and is all vacuum tubes.

What's my problem? Heh heh heh.

Wow... finally a ricer mod that DOES add power! :-) The guy should be advertising that in his auction!

A little mathematics here.

Considering a perfect world equation and 100% amp efficiency.

In order for an amp to develop 24000 watts at 12.6v, it would have to draw 1904 amperes of current.

Lets start the car, and assume our alternator can put out 14.4v now.

1666 amps....

I'm guessing that's a class D amp, which could be up to 80% efficient. So....

At 12.6v it would require 1942 amps of current.

And at 14.4 it would require 1699 amps...

Ohm's law, P=I*E. P = Power/wattage, I = Current, E = voltage.

So for figuring the current flow potential: P/E=I(24k/12.6v=1904).

We won't even go into the thermal dynamics of where that in-efficient power consumption has to go

Oooooh, think of the heat it generates in the winter. Why bother the car's built-in climate control systems when ya have this is the hatch?
