WOULD LIKE TO BUY A 944

I have a white 1991 944S2 Coupe and a 1987 944 Turbo. Turbo lag depends on what turbocharger you have. I have a Broadfoot Racing T3/K26 hybrid turbo and there is no lag at all. Since you want $10,000 or less, you aren't going to find too many really nice Turbos. I would go with the S2. Much more dependable, less things that can go wrong. Great low end torque, basically great torque up and down the band. ABS brakes, cool 968 rear spoiler and has the same body as the Turbo. I love both of them. There is still nothing like boost pulling you back in your seat though.

Beautiful car Peter, congratulations. Mines also an '89 but with another 30K on the odometer, not in quite as nice condition as yours, at least visually. I really like the body color matched cam cover, I may try that since I need to refresh the powder coat on mine at some point. I think maybe Alpine White with black "Porsche" lettering might work.
I doubt you'll be disappointed with that car.

Hi again ,
would like to do the following to the S2.,
Go to 17 or 18 wheels from the stock 16 the best sizes ?
Get a performance exhaust system or just switch mufflers, more of a sporty sound , growly
possibly a cat delete.
Looking for a BRA to protect during our road trips.
Thank you for your help

Some one suggested wider 16 wheels, like the Cup 9" in the rear. I will wait till I use up these tires 1st. I think will take our 1st road trip to the Smokey Spring thing at the end of April.

Hi, I just retired and have 2 86 944's for sale one NA & one Turbo. I've got them out off storage and doing maintenance to get them running and cleaned up. The NA was in an accident in 1988. It's repaired and going good with 29 K miles. The turbo has 115 K miles with a rebuild engine that I hope to start soon. Let me know if interested

I'm also thinking of changing the steering wheel for a Momo type, 340 mm with a shorter hub, , are there some that would fit this car? and how will this change affect electronics with the bags? It seems that the stock s wheel appears to be closer , than the one in my 996 . I drive it with my arms stretched out. I made the same change in my 84 911, it was a nice switch compared with the stock one.
Any suggestions on performance chips for the S2 ? Are they worth it ?
Just thinking aloud . for the future.
