Default Sunroof Switch Relocating - one last time

I've tried this post a couple of times, and with no responses I guess I should get the hint, but maybe someone new will see this.

I want to relocate the sunroof swithc in my early 944 from the flat part of the console in front of the shifter to the vertical part by the ashtray, where the other switches are. The problem I have is finding a switch that is the same size as the rear wiper, mirror selector that are there now. Also, the current switch has a dozen wires and 6 pins coming out of it, so I don't know how I would wire up a new switch if I did get it.

Does anyone know of a "plug and play" or easy to install switch that will work? Thanks.

I'm not aware of anything 'plug and play'. You'll most likely have to use the exising sw and relocate it. Then splice in longer wiring.

Yeah, the wires aren't long enough to reach the rear of the console. In your previous thread, you mentioned that you need to relocate it due to your radio's flip down face. Maybe the easiest solution would be to see if the switch can be relocated to the side of the console while keeping the wiring intact.

I do want to relocate it due to my radio's flip down face, but I also think it will look better and be more convenient in the bank of other switches. The existing/factory sunroof switch is larger than the other switches, so I was trying to find one that was the same size as the smaller ones that I could splice in. It would have to accomodate the six pins, and I'm not sure what they are all for. thanks.
