OT/ Has anyone ever replaced a clutch on an '86 Nissan 300ZX?

We always set the car on an angle with the front facing up. (15-20') Let the car idle (with the cap off) until the thermostat opened up. The coolant level would drop and we would finish filling the system. If headwork had been done, then there was some bleeding required. Most of the time, this worked well.
