head gasket, water pump, timing belt parts list pointers
Hi,
I've been around Rennlist in the 928 forum for years, but I haven't spent much time on the 944 forum. I've recently purchased a '90 S2 cab and am getting ready to replace the head gasket, water pump, and timing belt. I've browsed here and other sites, but still haven't found a comprehensive while you are in there list with parts to buy for these jobs. Any help on what other parts I should buy in addition to a head gasket kit, WP kit, and timing belt kit, would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to go over the top, but I want to make sure that I don't miss any important maintenance items when I am doing these jobs.
Thank you in advance!

Hi Gary,
If you're doing the head gasket then you absolutely positively should replace the cam chain and cam chain tensioner pads. The pads are available as a kit, and the chain is cheap.
Most any of the 944 specialists will help you out with parts kits and advice. Ian at Ian's Parts and Jason at Paragon Porsche will see you right.
Check out Clark's Garage (google it) for manuals and how-to guides.
Cheers, Mike
