Default HELP, Exhaust hanger issue

Bolting up my SFR exhaust and I am having a problem with the hanger near the cat, it won't line up. The hanger is about 1.5-2 inches back(horizontally) from the mounting points on the exhaust. I have heard about "87+ cars having to flip the hanger, but my car is an '86. Anyone ever had this problem with an '86? Hopefully if I flip the hanger it will work.

The hanger has a U-bolt clamp like an exhaust clamp on the torque tube. It has 2-13mm bolts or possibly 12mm and you can just loosen them and slide them to where you need them.

Ok, thanks, i'll try and flip the thing first, then if that don;t work i guess i;ll have to slide the thing.

Anyone else who has this exhaust and installed it ever have to slide the bracket?

Thanks

I did, but I have an early exhaust from SFR (maybe 3 years old now), so the fit was so-so to begin with. It really is no big deal to slide the bracket on the torque tube, you might as well go ahead and do that just to make sure everything lines up perfectly.
