Thanks, I know you are a great fabricator and that means allot.. I think with the side and rear nerf bars I was thinking maybe it might be the difference between pulling the quarter out -vs- having to drill pinchwelds for hours and replace it. I have a friend that races stock F, He managed to race his car for 20 years, and just this year he hit the wall at Road Atlanta... He says the car is salvageable.. Anyhow I think if I ever wrecked I really wouldn't be too mad.. I would look at it as a challenge to fix/replace... When I was in high school that when I learned body and paint. It made me appreciate it more than my friends who all had cars purchased for them.. I was THE ONLY one out of my circle of friends who didnt total their car... .. BTW I want to see you at the CLASH at WGI next year, I will probably Tech again next year... Love to have a beer or two and shoot the breeze
I'm sure Watkins Glen is great but I don't think it compares to Sebring, COTA or NOLA.
But, who knows, maybe we round up a few Southern drivers, convoy up there and break a few spirits....

Beautiful...
Great attention to detail, and impeccable execution. My dad was a crack welder and machinist, and I inherited the appreciation for a job well done, but do not have skills at your level.
I hope it goes like a rocket and corners like its on rails.

LOL, I drove once from Baton Rouge to the Canadian GP, slept across the border on our side in Plattsburgh (sp), so I know what kind of haul it would be with a trailer.

You Really should try it sometime, The elevation changes are awesome.. Its like driving a car on a rollercaster, Ask VAN, he has run on all those tracks. Im sure he will give you an honest opinion if its worth the drive. I WILL come by your way eventually, Daytona is on my bucket list, hopefully Ill be in SP3 when I get down there.. I dont even care if I do well, Just wanna go fast on the Highbanks, hell, I might put a pair of vice-grips on my WG hose when I run.. Dont even care if I get a 13... LOL (kidding)
And Thank you to everyone else.. Im happy to share, Hopefully it might inspire other builds.. Other than my lift and Tig, I really dont have any special tools.. Body panels were made with a hammer and Dolly, and duckbill vice-grips..

WG has 10 whole feet more elevation change than COTA and is a 2 day, all day haul.
COTA is a 6.5 hour tow.
Pass.
Tons on weekend agenda but I'll try to have you a case to clean for Monday.
Other one is split from pinion shaft bearing race bore all the way to case flange.

Id love to but alas, ran out of time to have my "checkout" ride done with our chief de instuctor. So, i am stuck in de s next summer and i still have my factory shortblock to build. Right now its a 2.8l. It will pain me to give up all that hp to race. Its so much fun now with the giant turbo and standalone i have on it now,

Well I will Try, I know the SP2 Guys run some pretty respectable times... But I forgot to mention along with getting rid of my big hp I will have to Add a considerable amount of weight... Last time I scaled it I was at 2750 with 3/4 of a Tank... I have to be 3148 for Stock F and finally in Sp3 3000. I guess I just liked the Turbos so much and never gave a thought to how much they penalize them on weight (Let the whining begin) LOL I digress.. Maybe after a few years Ill give consideration to that 944S I have in my woods.. After all it would be sp3 at 2500 LBS! I bet you really could honk through the corner being that light...
I will be at the Niagra DE maybe a few chin events.. and more than likely.. I will Do Tech at the Clash... Ill be at the scales..
