Default bellhousing and TT coupler

Hey, 1) Can someone tell me the type of metal the beelhousing is on a 86 944 turbo?
2) How can I remove the drive shaft and transaxle coupler? Having hard time removing one of the allen bolts. The bolt is slowly stripping even with the socket sitting in all the way.
Thanks

It's aluminum. And you'll need a swivel joint to properly seat the Allen bit.

I had that happen as well. We pounded a socket on to the outside of the bolt to get it out. It was obviously toast, but at least it was out.
