I bought a project 944 on the weekend, the catch. The wiring is destroyed in some places. As far as I know the DME loom for the engine works fine.
So there are a few issues off the top of my head

• Wiper switch doesn't work
• Headlights do not work
• Indicator dash lights always flash, when the car revs it changes which lights are flashing, see video.

I've listed a few things under the images that I'm unsure about.
Does anyone know of a wiring diagram that is half decent?

Centre console switches



The mess of the centre console, gauges, air con pot? maybe?, unsure why there is that relay there, headunit wiring and breakout box.

Unsure what this plug is for? There was also a relay up there (for ignition maybe)

I'm just after direction, what I should look at doing first.

If you Google search you can come up with wiring diagrams. It appears that the connector pictured has been replace looking at all the splices. Poor grounds can cause all sorts of funny things to happen. Search this forum, Pelican Parts site and 944online to find out about cleaning your grounds.

When you say connector that's been replaced do you mean the one underneath the dash that looks ratty?

The one in your hand. Looks like every wire has been spliced.

Do you know what the connector would be for? I can't find a plug for it anywhere...

There is also those thick black wires, any ideas what they are for?
