Default Rear ended on Stanley Park causeway, but I'm kinda glad!

Well, some cute older woman rear ended me on the Stanley Park causeway in Vancouver. I got out and looked at my car and I couldn't help thinking, ****, the bumper pushed in looks really good! (other than the bent up corner extensions and some scratched paint) I think I'm gonna complete the process by drilling the shocks and yanking off the bumperettes. If anyone has done this before, I'm just wondering if I can do away with the corner extensions if the bumper is pushed all the way in or will there be some ugly gap. Also any pictures from you guys with shaved/filled bumperette-less bumpers would be most appreciated. Oh yeah, she doesn't want to go through ICBC and is keen on cutting a cheque for the damaged parts, so hopefully there will be a happy ending.

Roy, I just hope you got:

a: car make model and plate numbers
b: the lady's driver's licence number.
c: the lady's phone no/addy from her licence.

You know, just in case her cheque bounces and she dissapears.

ICBC can be a bitch to deal with. They always take thousands from you every year and then when you get hit they tell you it's your fault and refuse to pay out. bastards!

FYI: It's CHEAPER to get a used euro bumper from the UK and have it painted, than it is to have a new OEM rear USA bumper assembly done.

Sorry about the accident though. The Stanley park causeway can be full of ****tards during rush hour..

oh yah you can also get the GT racing fibreglass rear bumper.

then, you can order the rubber strip for the EURO bumpers and put it on the GT Racing rear bumper. That would be the probably the best, that way you still have a little protection against bumps.

Hey Rich,

You know a source to get the rubber strip? Mine has a little scrape in it.

Thanks

When I was single in OC California, thirtyish and driving around in my slightly used but still shinny 83 944, I discovered that older women are soooo grateful!!!
