In the last topic about this the person who posted it got flamed for doing so because people did't want everyone to know the info just incase a thief was wandering the boards...

I used to lock myself out off my 924.
I just used a VW key to wiggle the lock, no problemo, took like 30s. To unlock, and no damage to the lock. So try any-key taht look similar to the Porsche key.

all porsches come with 3 keys, one of them is wallet sized.
you can also buy them.
Anytime I buy a car, the first thing I get, is A SPARE KEY,
and when I change or fit an alarm, I get a spare Fob.
I cant understand why you would not have a spare. you an loose, snap, or have them stolen.
really weird, maybe its a UK thing ?

also reminds my of an episode of "LLOYD IN SPACE"
Lloyd and the kids steal this space ship, because the keys are in it and they warp out. However the pilot, says to his mother.
"dont worry I can find it with this little detector."
he switches it on,
"its near, its really near"
"it appears " he goes on" to be in my pocket"
You mean you have a starship in your pocket
"errrm no, I forgot to put the tracer on my key ring"
