old car did it in 9.2, new car in 6.0...

I shaved a nice 3.2 seconds off the time, not bad...

Maybe your S2 is faster, but October 1989 Road & Track has the S2 at 6.7 & 14.7@96mph. with a skidpad of .86 & slalom of 63.6 mph.

and +- 5.8 & 14.4 @ 98mph for the 93 camaro is what motor trend, car & driver & autoweek have for the camaro in 93. SLP says thier level one suspension (basically what is in my camaro) brings the skidpad up from .86 to .90G.

How do you find your camaro in terms of straight acceleration compared to the S2?

you have to understand that these are compiled by different sources. While motor trend tends to get fairly good times, hence good drivers, Road and Trac often tend to get horrible ties and data, hence driver we would own. thats what you see that difference.

the camaro pulls much better than the S2. 0-60 doesnt register the torque the car has. when i bought the car it had BFG 275/40/17 tires on it. without trying the rear end lit up in any gear just by pressing the gas.

turns were a whole nother story. the solid axle sucks. i got most of the bugs out but the stock 944S2 handles better.

C'mon I realize that an 84 944 is no speed demon. but 9.0 seconds to 60, give me a break.

I know I can beat a Kia.
