With the economy and job market like it is.... I wish I could be complaining about being stuck at work. But, I'm 5 months unemployed and 'stuck' at home cause I don't have any money to do anything.....

They tried to call me in last night to dial in some equipment today after repair...The thing is, I have been telling them for 3 months that the repairs needed to be made so when it falls apart they expect me to jump through hoops. I used to, but after 20 years I take the attitude that **** poor planning on your part does not mean an emergency on my part.

Brian, I'm OOW (Out Of Work) almost 20 months now. I have been getting by doing odd jobs and some design drafting contracting. Nothing over two to three weeks. I'm not buying the economy is improving crud.

Business is great in retail. I am off, thank god, but our stores will do very well today. I suspect that the 315 we have in our zone will do a little over 1.3 million in sales. In November that is considered a smoking day. Auto repair tends to die about 10-01 every year. People start saving for Christmas, etc.

My office in NYC is a ghost town, even the Greek coffee truck outside on Madison and 57th stayed home today. The subways were empty, but the bright side is there was no line at the shoeshine!

I'm off but I am going to head in to upgrade some routers, it will be nice and quiet at work! Just me and my dog 
The girlfriend is out of town this weekend so it's a very relaxing weekend for me!

I was hoping we wouldn't be busy at work today, but with less than 1/2 the normal crew those who are here are being kept busy.....

The tech industry sucks right now. I'm seriously considering a career
