Default My brakes

Ok, this is most likely going to be a stupid question but i have not been able to see my brake calipers visually because of my 928 wheels, im thinking about getting the C2 turbo wheels and wanted to know if the brake calipers on my 87 na would say "Porsche" on them. Thanks for any replyes in advance.

I don't think so... the NAs never had the Brembos (as far as I knew) unless it may have been offered as a specific upgrade.

Definitely no -- the 87na came with fairly plain looking calipers.

1) Calipers - probably 350-500
2) Rotors - 200 for the pair front, 200 pair rear
3) adapters or spindles (I think spindles are necessary but I could be wrong) - spindles I have no clue, adapters run about 125 IIRC
4) pads - depends from 90 - 150 dollars
WAY more money that the upgrade is worth to have calipers that say Porsche. If that is your only goal, just hand me the money (I know I could use it :>)))

I don't have the definitive answer -- and you'll find more if you go through the archives, but your options are to upgrade the brakes to
951,944S2 or 968 (non-M030 brakes) (big)
951S, 944S2 (M030) or 968 (M030 brakes) (even bigger)
"Big Red" or "Big Blacks" (overkill)
which involves new rotors and (as I understand it ) new spindles -- a bit more than just replacing the calipers. I assume that your 928 wheels are big enough to accomodate bigger brakes.

Or you can get some paint and decals....
