The six series is nice, (I looked at a full euro grey market 78 635csi) but maintinance is killer on the Six... Not to mention finding one thats stick.... Still cool cars.... They won't ever be able to handle like a well set up 5 though... (which is waht i will have)...

Based on your previous posts it was your speculation that the tensioner pad came loose. You clearly stated that you were about to replace it because you didn't know what the PO had done as far as maintenence. So you can call me wrong and uninformed if you wish. Just remember that you are the source of my speculation.

Something had to stop for the teeth on the timing belt to be stripped off.

Sell the 944S and get a BMW.

I never said anything about my cam chain tennsioner other than the fact that i thought the pad needed replacing... I have said since day one of my problem that i thought it was the timing belt... and in fact, i was right...

In fact John told you three months ago the timing belt was in dire need of replacing. You chose to ignore the advice. A very expensive one year ownership of a 944.

Maybe you will be a bit more on top of the required maintenence for a BMW.

Considering SoCal is one of the most knowledgeable people on this board I believe his deductions warrent what he previously stated. I dont want to sound like an *** but I think it serves you right that you bombed your head before someone was able to pick it up.
