The problem with having the PS not working is that you can't really tell what the problem is. Could be hoses, reservoir, rack, pump or...all of the above!

If the guy just disconnected it rather than fixing, that indicates shoddy maintenance.

Antonioali you got email.

Tifo, the crest just got stolen a week ago, and he doesnt quit have the $50 kicking around after the clutch lol. Holes are there, no paint scratches.

Peckster, I gather it started acting up about a month ago, so he just disconected the belt from the pump.

Defintely a buyers time of year. The guy has to be thinking if he doesn't sell it soon he will have till next spring.

The PPI will give you lots of bargaining power. The P/S rack and pump really are easy DIY jobs too if you wanted to save yourself a couple dollars.

Best of luck. It looks like a nice car.

Edge,
I had a look at that one a couple of weeks ago... Cosmetically it is really good, although it was raining when I saw it too.... why is it things look so good when wet?? (Cars, women, decks...).

When I saw it: The Front shocks were beyond any use at all. I could bounce the front up and down with one hand.

The heater blew HOT, no matter what the slider was set at(Easy fix)

The Rotors are warped... really nice vibration come through when braking(Easy fix)

The Oil level was not showing on the stick at all.(that hurts!)

It pulled to one side while cruising down the Hwy.(Easy fix)

The guy said" I have only been in 5th gear once or twice... on the Hwy, and never in 4th around town".... what the FU(&^&.

I came away with the impression that he obviously does'nt give a sh(* about the car. The previous owner may have taken care of it, but he did not.
Is it possible to trash a car in 1 or two years? with absolutely no maintenace?

The car is likely salvageable.... but you know it been treated bad!
