Yes and no. They fit, but the braket the speakers are mounted on is too thick so they protrude about 1/4" from the panel. If ya go back & look at my pics you can see what they look like from the side.

Has anyone installed ROUND 6.5" mid-bass speakers in front (which is a must really, not a fan about sound coming from behind)? Can't figure a way to do this. I wouldn't like making a hole in the metal door... And speaker of that size is usually too big to put it entirely on "this" side of door panel.
Experience anyone? Didn't find much about this on the net.. Everyone seems to be satisfied with source-unit amp and four 4"x6"s.

If you pm me an e-mail address I can send you details of how to make pods in an afternoon costing no more than $20, there painless and sound great as you can make them as as stiff as you like. unfortunatly they fix to the door pannel but you can maybe think a way around that one, you don't need to cut the doors or the pannels. here's a pic half way through so you get a general idea.
