Default Thermovalve plumbing help

Help! I just did an engine swap for a friend on his 924S, but I have a hose fitting that I can't figure out what hose is supposed to connect to it. All my hoses seem to have found a place to go to, so I'm baffled. It's on the thermvalve at the rear of the engine under the intake runners. I have the 2 vacuum lines hooked up, but what goes on the big hose outlet? See pointer in photo

That's the outlet from the head, that feeds the heater core.
Attached to that should be the heater control valve..
