Jim, you should check out 924board.org as all the 924 guru's hang out over there, TONS of knowledge! They'll have the answer for your carb question or if you want to strap a supercharger on it instead, even turbo it.

A while ago, I was able to snag a weber carb manifold from European Motorworks in Cali. I don't know if they still make them or have any left, but I would start with them. The other alternative is to contact Extrudabody. They don't list it on their website, but they do have the ability to produce a weber style manifold for the 924, which could be used with either their ITB setups, or with a conventional DCOE or Dellorto setup. Get the carbs from eBay or Craigslist.

Another plug for www.924Board.org , that's where all the diehard 924 guys hang out.

I've got this sitting in my basement. As soon as my CIS dies it will be installed.

Picked it up a couple of years ago, I can't remember exactly, something like $1200? All new of course.

I have a used kit with weber 45 DCOE's, manifold, fuel pressure reg, linkage, dizzy, head, the whole 9 yards. I might be convinced to part with it but you're talking a near-race setup with the 45's. EM if you're interested and we can discuss...

Default Carb replacment

Has anyone tried using 4 - Yamaha R1 carbs (or any motorcycle carbs) as in the attached article. Probably tons cheaper than 2 webers if you can find them in a wrecking yard and rebuild them, of course you will have to have an intake maifold built, and an air filter. Any opinions about performace with this kind of setup? Heck it will not let me attach the file, too big. If you want to check it out email me, kerrynewman@yahoo.com and I'll send it to you. Thanks!
