Default Airbag removal instructions?

Sorry for the non-fun nature of this thread, but not sure where else to go for guidance.

I swapped my stock non-RS steering wheel for the RS steering wheel at the dealership today. They got the spline to sit straight and true (whew), but the airbag itself isn't centered quite as I'd like it. I'm pretty **** about stuff like this (wish the service guy was) so would like to make the adjustment myself if it isn't too difficult.

Does anyone have any step-by-step instructions along with what tools I need to readjust the airbag center?

Thanks!

There is a hole on the underside of the steering wheel column -- insert a flat-head screwdriver and push in to release the retaining clamps. Once released, grab the airbag and pull straight out.

audio, is the airbag piece a snap on or is there room to adjust the rotation of it as it mates to the actual steering wheel? really appreciate the assist.

Operate the steering wheel with the battery disconnected.
Before disconnecting the battery, observe the following points:

1. Insert ignition key into ignition lock, switch on ignition and then off again.
2. Leave ignition key inserted.
3. Disconnect battery.
4. Wait 1 minute

Turn steering wheel 90° and stick a T30 (Torx with handle) or medium-size screwdriver through the opening of the steering wheel.

Use the screwdriver or T30 to compress the locking clip and pull the airbag unit from the steering wheel with the fingers.

If you want to remove the airbag unlock electrical connector with a screw driver and unplug them.

The airbag cannot be rotated as it just snaps in place. Maybe it did not fully engage the locking mechanism, hence the misalignment? Definitely worth trying to remove and reinstall.

Good point about the battery disconnect.

Hope this helps.
