Default Thanks for wave

Not sure if the driver will see this, but I was put for a drive in my 997 and I drove past a 914 with a bike on the roof this afternoon outside of Boulder on Arapahoe Rd. The gentleman gave me a friendly wave - always appreciate the Porsche family wave - happens less and less often it seems. Thanks and happy motoring!

I agree. I used to get waved at all of the time and I still wave at people. But as ownership has expanded from true Porsche lovers to include people who just want to make a statement, the waves have diminished accordingly. Seems the only return waves I get is from the vintage P-cars.

I don't even bother to wave or flash when in the Spyder because it seems like every other car in Scottsdale is a Porsche of some kind. They don't even notice you. I saw another Mexico blue P car the other day, a 993 turbo and figured he'd be worth a wave- got a half-assed response like he wasn't really sure why I waved...
I do a wave or get responses from other vintage sports cars when in the 914 though... the other day a vigourous wave from a nice XK-120...

Of course, back in the old days Porsches flashed back and forth a lot- except way back when the snobs in the 911's wouldn't acknowledge a 914....
