Default Bumpers Swap

Hi guys,
I just got a '75 1.8 that has the big black rubber bumpers, and I was wondering if it is an easy plug and play job to swap them into the nice chrome ones of the up to '73 cars?
Thanks.

It's pretty common to back date the bumpers, but agree to do a search at 914 world as I'm sure there are many threads on the subject. Not horrible but will require some welding etc...

This is a very common "modification" and I think the biggest bang for the buck one can do to the late model car. If you have some mechanical skills and some basic shop tools, you could do this at home. If not, jump over to 914World.com and post a thread looking for a good 914 shop in your neighborhood and I am sure someone will be close to you. Probably not a big expense labor wise once you have the nice chrome bumpers and bumper tops. Good luck and welcome to the club.
