914/6 transmission vent
We have put an 911 type 901 and converted to a side shifter and with ring in an opposite position...because of this different from a 914 trans the fluid is pissing out the vent, so we turned 180 and 15 degrees and still the same result only not as prevalent. Can we put a hose on remote vent higher up and cut vent off the vent that goes into trans (so it is shorter inside) ,,,,other wise we have to remove trans from a finished car,,you can see the frustration. thx any help would be appreciated. Whailtail,
I run a aftermarket vent line for the same reason. Attached is a picture of what Patrick motorsports sells. For your application you really only need the straight AN fitting and the adapter that screws into the current vent line opening. No modificatations required. Then just run your vent line up into a catch tank that should also be vented.

Just make sure there is no chance for the line to hold fluid. We ran it the first time through the frame and into the catch tank. The fluid filled up a low point and the pressure could not clear the vent. The outcome was that the half shaft seals blew out during the end of a hot race.
