Default 2.0 vacuum advance help

I'm brand new to forum and this is my first post. I have already searched and unfortunately have not found what I'm looking for. A VW specialist is working on my 74 2.0 (original fuel injection fitted) right now and many of the vacuum lines were broken or disconnected while in storage. He's trying to sort out all the mess, and we are having problems finding the vacuum line for the distributor advance? He believes it belongs in the hole in the intake plate that the throttle body sits on but we cannot find accurate diagrams of the intake setup that matches what is currently on the car. Does anyone have a diagram of intake setup with vacuum hoses on a 1974 2.0?

Can anyone tell me what the hole on the throttle body plate is that is just below the throttle body spring arm in the photo?

Not sure why it is there but nothing gets attached to it.

The green hose in your picture goes to your vacuum advance on your dizzy. I can't tell from your picture if there is a fitting on the other side of your throttle body. If there is a fitting then it will go to the small fitting on your dizzy. If no fitting then the small fitting on the dizzy does not get a hose.

I have a "late" 74 model 2.0……I believe based on the search results I have read that I have a one fitting throttle body and that the one fitting goes to the retard side and the advance side is left with no connection. This doesn't make much sense as the car would be way down on power but another diagram I have found shows it that way. Can anyone confirm this?

If you look at the link I sent you above and the last lines of the diagram it states that 74+ models do not use the 3.5mm hose.
