For those using the Rennshift...

I have three questions.

One, why do you prefer it to stock?

Two, can you engage first gear with the seat slid up? I'm vertically challenged at 5-6 and the stock shifter contacts the seat bottom with the seat slid up where I need it. The previous owner was short like me and tried the fabcar because it allowed first gear engagement with the seat in the forward position.

Three, how do you lock out first and reverse?

Well, I pulled the trigger and ordered the Rennshift 914 shifter this morning. I went with the sideshift, black, 2" taller option with the black 47mm shift ****. Hoping I like it as much as you guys do.

I have an event coming up in about 2.5 weeks, so I'm hoping we can get it installed in time. Doesn't sound like they ship the minute you place your order.

Anybody want a fabcar shifter? I have a slightly used one for sale

I'm not sure you have anything I need, but I'm open to offers

I emailed fabcar this morning. The current price for the shifter from them is $1475. Which I think is insane....

How about half at $750? I generally buy and sell used parts for half of what they were new. Seems fair.
