Default My resto is finally going after a long wait

Bought my 75 a couple of years ago and was hoping for a nice driver I could one day restore. Well I probably did buy that but got frustrated one day (just after buying it) with the electrical system and began tearing the car down to the chassis. After over two years, I was on 914 World and a guy in Winston Salem chimed in to my post about the slow progress and offered his welding services to me to help get things going. The following is that thread and his progress since my bringing him the car the w/e before Thanksgiving of 2011.

He's moving right along. Says it should be ready in a month or so, I think he has more time ahead of him than that. As long as he's steady at it, I don't care anymore. It will be done when its done and I'll be on my way to a restored teener

Keep following the above thread, he posts as major progress is made.

I am but would be even happier if it had a motor in it and ready to fire up

I have so much work ahead of me

Thanks, I do too. For some reason, I'm a big sucker for yellow.

I'm really hoping to hit it hard this summer. It's been three years since i bought it to get to this point, I'd love to wrap it up soon. Time will tell

My assembly on the '73 is also going slow- even with a heated shop, it's warm to do a lot when it's cold outside. Somehow it's easier to work when the doors are all open and it's nicer outside. Have to get to work though as i really want the car down in Arizona next winter!!

Lol......then we have the same problem! My garage is heated and cooled and with a lift........and yet I still find a million other things to do instead
If you were closer we could have assembly parties and prod each other into getting something done
