Thumbs up Rear Tie Down Loops

Rear Tie Down Loops,
Just had another batch made up, thicker than the last batch (No problems with any of those & the 1st pair is still on my 944 track car) fits under the head of the rear shock lower mounting bolt, although you may need to use a longer bolt. They will be Powder coated "Safety Red" by PowderTech-Plus Inc
PowderTech Plus Inc.
$30 Shipped in the Continental US..

Will be ready for delivery at the Daytona Octoberfast Club Race Oct 8th & 9th...

I have these on my 914 and they make life so much easier if you can't fit straps through the wheels.

Nice part about his style is that they work basically the same as tying the wheels down - they still let the chassis be suspended.

Another solution to the age old tie down problem. I took this pic during the build of my SCCA E/P car in 1984. When we boxed the trailing arms we modified the lower shock mount to get more shock travel. Even with 260# springs, and the car on the deck, we never damaged a rear shock (which were really expensive double-adjustable units!). At the same time we added a tie down bracket to each trailing arm, which made it much easier to tie the car to the trailer.

That is slick as well Peter! I am a fan of allowing the suspension to move while on a trailer.

Thanks for sharing, wish I had seen that before I had my arms powder coated.
