Default 914-6 turbo need info/help 1970

A friend of mine in Mexico has a 1970 914-6 fuel injected turbo that the family has had since new(still has the original MSO never titled) VIN # 91440431439but the car has been sitting since the 1970's and needs restoration. They are not sure if they want to sell it or restore it, I am not much into this type of car and don't know anything about them or how/where to get parts. I would like some help on which way to go with the project or help them sell it, the car is in Mexico but could be bought back to the US with no problem. meglite@msn.com

Well, Porsche never offered the 914-6 in Turbo form, and it was 5 years later before they offered a street Turbo..

Sounds like its at least a 914-6 VIN

Pics tell the best story.

Not sure the $$ is truly there yet for getting money back on restoring a 6.. really depends on starting point and how much needs replacement/recreation.

Well, they ain't making any more of em (and no, the re-numbered ones that AA has sold in the past don't count) and my guess is there are maybe 10% matching numbers "Sixes" out of the the roughly 3,300 built from 69 to 72...
Hell, grab it and just hold onto it, look what happened with rusted out Speedsters...
