Change the car to yellow and that is what it looks like every time I go to the Glen.

I'm thinking it's at least a 1.8.

Awesome driving.

^^I've never met Keith, but I've always heard he can wheel.

WOW, that is some great talent. 22 cars in ONE lap?

Astonishing.

The back story was that there was rain during qualifying and as such, he started from the back of the pack.

I recall Keith running the same car (also I think, with "just" a 2.8 motor) at the Double 50 at WG in 1998and was "running" with the 917/962 group pretty well. Sub 2:00

I think all 914 guys learn to wheel pretty well, what with only 80-100hp to start with, you learn early and often not to brake and keep the gas floored

My brother used to joke about his 1.7 at the Glen and having plenty of time on the back straight to start a tape leaving turn 1,and still have time to "flip" the cassette tape in the stereo before T5 (pre bus stop) without worry

When I ran my 1.7 at the Glen, I got down to a 3:30. Hitting traffic and losing any momentum would easily at 30 seconds to the lap.

You counted the back straight on a calendar! The highest speed you could get was 90 mph on the front straight right before the braking zone as it went downhill!

Matt and I went out to the bus stop after the event and marveled at the ruts he left in the gravel. I remember hitting 95MPH on the back straight in Matt's 1.7 and that was everything she had.

I should have clarified - I did manage the bus stop without brakes when I had the 1.7. It was the 2 liter that wouldn't do it without brakes. I wasn't brave enough to try with the 2.3 liter.

there was a line once someone said about driving a 914 at the Glen: something to the effect of "you can order a Pizza at the bus stop, have it delivered at the boot, and eat it all on the front straight"

I thought it was hilarious, because that's how I felt the first time we took our 2.0 there.

After it became a really fast 2.4...the Glen was an absolute blast! Still my overall favorite track.

Oh, yeah, and Keith keeps forgetting he's only driving a 914 and not an F1 car...

there's a great video somewhere of him at Limerock too...

With the 2.3 that would be 145 MPH into the bus stop without brakes. You would have HUGE ***** if you did that, actually some might say it is stupid.
