My 1970 911E was a factory paint of an unusual maroon color that I never saw on another 911, but I did see a few 914s in that same color. Anybody know what it is called? Anybody have a photo? I think it is not too far off of my Arena Red 993TT.

Check out 914world.com There is a place where they list all the factory colors for the 914. As expected, many were also used on 911s, but recall that 914s were assembled by Karman and not in stuttgart so there could have been differences.

I don't recall many metallic colors for the 914 being offered as they would have added $$ to a "tough sell" car to begin with.

I enjoyed my Malaga Red 914.. sometimes it looked like a burgundy and othertimes more like a brighter red (guards or Peru reds)

Thanks for the link. There is one sample missing "Metallic Red", offered only in 1970. Dang. I wonder if that is the one. Does anyone have a photo of that color?
