Default FS: 1973 914 1.7

Selling for a fellow PCA member. Matt and I have seen this car before at events. I don't know it real well, but it seems to be a solid car that has been well cared for.

1973 Porsche 914. 1.7 liter. White w/ black interior. One owner since 1977. 135K miles. All maintenance records. Nice condition for its age. $5900.

Ah, the good old Riviera wheels!! What's with that god- awful bump strip on the side?? Hope to God he didn't drill holes to put that on!!! Or drill holes to put on that dreadful rear spoiler! The things we used to think were neat back in the '70's!! ( did a few dumb things myself back then but I won't admit to it now...)

I agree on both accounts. The bump strip on the side is just painful. If I had to guess, the strip is a stick on and the spoiler is a bolt on. But the key here is it is a rust free car in the northeast.

Did '73 have retractible seat belts yet? My '70 didn't, my '76 did. Can't tell from the pic.

It is hard to find nice ones in the NE, I give you that.. but spending some time/$$ to remove the rub strip and the Porsche lettering strip (is that 2 color btw?) , find some OEM exterior mirrors, remove rear spoiler, find an LE front spoiler and its a $8K car in the NE

Just when I think I have the 914 "bug" out of me.. another nice one comes up for sale!

Probably would have bought this if I hadn't "found" my Bakersfield special.

'73 had retractable seat belts, but if they're original they would need replacing anyway.

Good eyes- didn't even notice those goofy mirrors until you mentioned it

Wonder how much that car would bring at Barrett Jackson?

Don't fight it! All of the things this car needs are easy additions and subtractions.

Sadly the subtractions would mostly be to my bank account

I know the feeling! This is why my 914 is still parked as I have had to many subtractions the past few months to get it out.
