Default Can an automatic be fit into a 914?

Would it be possible to build a 914 with an automatic trans? I am unable to drive a clutch car due to a medical condition. I have read here in the past that there were a few automatic cars produced but they are very very rare. So what about retrofitting a trans from another car. Did any of the 911 based models come with an auto box that would fit?

I am sure anything can be done for the cost. But the best thing to do is put a transplant small-block in it that has an automatic.

Wow, that is amazing that they used a Audi tranny. The thing must be a dog! But better then nothing I suppose.

You can convert to a 6, then use a Sportomatic transmission.
