It appears as though my new purchase has the original 15 inch Fuchs, 73 2.0. It needs tires. How large can I go without rubbing and what would be a good 3 season no track tire? While we are at it, exhaust recommendations? thanks

Try over on www.914world.com These guys are all over it. They just provided me information in one day that saved me from buying a car that would have destroyed my bank account.

Typically a 205 width is as large as you can go. 215-225s tend to rub and alignment and camber settings will be at issue with the fender lips. Tires will be "tighter" in the rear than in the front.
As for speedo accuracy, stock is a 165-15. A 195-65 or 195-60 is pretty close.
